We are proud to announce that our Retro Insulation team has begun mechanical insulation work on the new Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Arts & Innovation Building in Richmond, Virginia.
Spanning eight stories and approximately 213,000 square feet, the VCU Arts & Innovation Building will be one of the largest commercial construction projects our team is proud to be a part of. Working in partnership with Warwick, our Retro Insulation team is progressing throughout the building with extensive HVAC and Plumbing Insulation, including ductwork, hydronic piping systems, and domestic plumbing systems. The team is also performing specialized fire-wrap installations on designated ventilation ductwork and acoustical sound lagging on select piping and duct systems.
With approximately 10 team members currently working across multiple floors and systems simultaneously, Project Manager Darren Bryan, Foreman Eric Bowman, and the field team are coordinating a complex, multi-phase installation that will continue through 2027.
We are proud to contribute our expertise to a project that will support the arts, innovation, education, and the Richmond community. We look forward to seeing the VCU Arts & Innovation Building come to life and welcoming its opening in late 2027.
