What does a 2,300+ sq. ft. single-family fire rebuild look like while it’s still under construction?

This is project Palm. The structure is in place, the exterior is being worked through, and inside, the drywall is now being finished.

There’s still plenty ahead before this one is complete, but the spaces are starting to read much differently than they did earlier in the build.

What started as a framed structure is now a fully enclosed home with roofing, windows, exterior doors, and lath completed.

Before you design it, make sure you can build it. 👷

The size of your lot is only part of the equation. Setbacks, zoning, existing structures, access, utilities, and the type of project you’re planning can all change what actually fits on the property.

That’s why we look at the property first. It’s better to understand the site before spending time and money designing something that may need to change later.

The team worked through the underground plumbing, footings, and foundation before completing the final slab pour. The foundation is now ready for the structure to come up here at Project Wapello in Altadena.

This 2,014 sq ft home will feature 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with 451 sq ft garage space.

A lot of the structure is up at Project Lake.

With the wall and roof framing underway, you can now see the different sections of the home coming together, including the garage, main living areas, and the multiple rooflines across the structure. From this angle, you can also see how much of the footprint has been built out on the lot.

Project Palm is now well into the interior and exterior finish work.

Framing, roofing, windows, and exterior openings are complete, and drywall has been installed throughout the interior. The team is now taping and mudding the drywall while preparing the interior surfaces for paint.

Outside, the stucco and exterior finishes are continuing as well.

At this point, the project is moving from putting the house together to getting the surfaces ready for the final finishes.

After the underground plumbing and site preparation, the final slab has been poured at Project Wapello, a fire rebuild home in Altadena.

The next major step is framing, where the structure will start coming up from the foundation.
