🏈 Our quarterly Game Ball has a new owner!

Congratulations to Project Manager Kwesi Akoto, our latest WarrenBuilds Game Ball winner!

Kwesi is one of our rising stars, and you may recognize him from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington Leadership Development Program, where he’s continuing to build his leadership skills alongside other emerging leaders in the industry.

Each quarter, our Game Ball recognizes someone on the WarrenBuilds team who has stepped up, made an impact, and earned the recognition of the people around them.

This quarter, that person is Kwesi. 👏

If you’ve worked with Kwesi—on a WarrenBuilds project, through ABC Metro Washington, or anywhere along the way—drop a comment below and help us congratulate him! 🏈

It’s important to us to recognize our people — especially the ones who take each project personally and have shown their loyalty to our team year after year.

At Lake Presidential Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, MD, Shane Warren had the honor of recognizing Sr. Project Manager Ermias Legesse for five years with WarrenBuilds and presenting him with the coveted teal hard hat.

The color is intentional.
Teal is the color of WarrenBuilds. You’ll find it in our logo and across our projects. And after five years, you earn the right to wear it on your hard hat, too.

It represents more than tenure. It represents five years of showing up, growing with the company, supporting the people around you, and becoming someone your teammates know they can depend on.

And that’s Ermias.

At WarrenBuilds, one of our core values is to be supportive and aspire to do and be more. We believe in both individual and company success because the two go hand in hand.

When our people grow, we grow.
Please help us congratulate Ermias on five years! 👏

In the contracting community, WarrenBuilds sets the expectation that all incidents are preventable because health and safety are a moral obligation for employers and employees.

Honored to achieve Associated Builders and Contractors STEP Diamond, the highest level of recognition in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System!

This achievement belongs to our entire team. Thank you to everyone who shows up each day looking out for one another and making safety a priority.

The WarrenBuilds team recently spent time with 90+ Prince George’s County 7th grade students, working through Junior Achievement of Greater Washington financial literacy training—covering the basics that matter: budgeting, saving, and making smart decisions early.

We also had the chance to speak directly with the group—sharing real-world perspective, lessons learned, and what it actually takes to build something over time.

Growing up in Prince George’s County, being back in front of these students was a reminder of what’s possible—and what a little exposure and guidance can do.

Big thanks to our team members who showed up, volunteered their time, and poured into these students. This is what leadership looks like off the jobsite and in our community.
