A severe storm roared through Iowa on the morning of Thursday June 12, leaving a trail of extensive damage across Southwest Iowa Rural Electric Cooperative's service territory. Hundreds of co-op members were out of power and the co-op counted 120+ broken poles. IAEC's safety team stepped in to help coordinate mutual aid from neighboring cooperatives to restore power quickly and safely. Special thanks to Farmers Electric- Greenfield, Guthrie County REC and Nishnabotna Valley REC for sending much-needed crews and equipment!
