After 15 days of not working, Local 393 has cost its members more than $13,000 in lost wages. Already, the proposed wage increases of the SCVCA/GBA agreement have evaporated. NCMCA is fighting for our offer to be accepted to prevent more unnecessary money from being lost.

Our offer to Local 393 is the largest increase in the union’s 100-year history and, importantly, 80 percent of the businesses who supply union members with work will support it. Now, we need Local 393 accept our last, best and final offer to preserve union jobs now and for the future. While the higher hourly wage being counteroffered is understandably enticing, the NCMCA's historical proposed $11.75 wage increase will offer union members a well deserved raise, but won't result in reduced contracts, reduced hours or loss of jobs.
