Shell has one of the best Fuel Rewards programs. Download the Shell App and hook your Fuel Rewards to it for even more savings. I took advantage of their Penzoil promotion since my truck needed an oil change anyway and received 1 dollar off on every gallon of fuel. That plus my premium status of 10 cents off everytime and I only paid 1.749 a gallon this morning for Shell Fuel at the Fastbreak Shell on exit 16 in Valdosta, GA. There are so many ways to earn points for things you do or buy anyway. The Fuel Rewards app gives you all the details and makes it easy to stack. I love my Shell Fuel Rewards.

At Jim Hinton Oil Company and Delta Tank Lines, we know COVID-19 and the falling gas and diesel markets are the main topics in conversations in our industry. We want to reassure you that we are here for you and will remain open for business as usual.

Our executive and safety teams are continuously monitoring the situations as they develop and are making real time decisions with the health and safety of our employees and customers as our highest priorities.

With that in mind, we want you to be aware of a few specific protocols we have put in place during this time. These are critical measures as we begin to face unprecedented situations:

• Telecommuting: For the health and safety of our employees, we have asked some to begin to work from home. Over the past couple of years, we had already put into place the ability for our employees to work remotely so that they would have access to everything they needed to seamlessly and securely meet your needs and continue business operations from outside the office. Because some employees are working from home now, we ask that you call before you come to our office to make sure that the person you plan to see will be there to help you. If they are not in the office, calling ahead will give us time to plan with them to make sure that all information you need is ready for you when you arrive.

• Managing Orders: Given the current market conditions and health situations we are facing, we are asking each of you to order before your fuel needs become critical. If you are responsible for ordering your own fuel deliveries, we ask that you place your order at least three (3) days in advance. You should expect your delivery 36-48 hours after you place your fuel order. The circumstances we are navigating are unprecedented. We believe this delivery timeline is the most responsible plan for the wellbeing of our transport drivers and for dealing with the current market conditions. We do promise to work tirelessly to get your fuel order to you as soon as possible.

• Our Partners: We are remaining in constant dialogue with both our supply and carrier partners. We are all working closely with many industry leaders to develop plans that are similar, rational, and logistical protocols for the continuity of our business and yours.

We are grateful to have you as our customers and appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work through these difficult and unusual times. By working together, we are confident that we will all come through this successfully.

Free Age 21 “We Card” Resources Are Available

All Retailers Need to Comply with New Federal Age 21 to Purchase Law

The We Card organization is making certain retail resources available at no cost to assist retailers in complying with the new federal law that went into effect on December 20, 2019 which raised the legal age to purchase any kind of to***co product to 21 years of age.

Specifically, the four kinds of FREE resources for retailers are as follows:

Three different age 21 signs to download, print and display in stores.
The We Card Age Checker Application.
The www.wecardnow.com Age Calculator for use on mobile phones.
A 10 minute “Training Booster” video course that covers the new age 21 purchase law.

To obtain access to these free We Card retail resources, click on the link below:

In addition, retailers can continue to order other products from We Card to assist in properly verifying the legal age of customers. To order other materials, go to www.wecard.org.

All Retailers Need to Comply with New Federal Age 21 Law: As NATO has recently reported, the FDA posted the following notice on its website regarding the immediate effectiveness of the federal age 21 law:

Note:On December 20, 2019, the President signed legislation to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and raise the federal minimum age of sale of to***co products from 18 to 21 years. It is now illegal for a retailer to sell any to***co product – including ci******es, ci**rs and e-ci******es – to anyone under 21. FDA will provide additional details on this issue as they become available.

In order to comply with the new federal law, retailers in every state need to immediately cease selling any kind of to***co product (i.e., ci******es, ci**rs, smokeless to***co, pipe to***co, electronic ci******es, ni****ne v***r products, ho**ah to***co, etc.) to anyone that is under the age of 21.

NATO has received reports from member retailers that some competing stores continue to sell to***co products to 18, 19 and 20-year-olds. The sale of to***co products to 18, 19 and 20-year-olds is a violation of the new federal law and all retailers need to comply by not selling any to***co product to anyone under the age of 21.

NATO has been in contact with the FDA and asked the agency whether it plans to exercise its enforcement discretion to temporarily delay retail compliance checks to allow retailers the time needed to adequately train employees on the new law, educate customers about the new higher legal age, and reprogram point-of-sale systems to reflect the new age 21 law.

While NATO is waiting for a response from the FDA, complying with the new law and enforcing the new law are two different things. That is, retailers are advised to comply with the new law now while the FDA determines how and when the agency will begin retail compliance inspections.

To***co 21 Now in Effect, FDA Says

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-President Trump last week signed appropriations legislation which raised the federal minimum purchase age for all to***co products from 18 to 21, among other provisions. The law wasn't expected to take effect until 2020, but the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in a notice posted on its website says the law is in immediate effect, meaning retailers across the U.S. cannot sell any to***co products to customers younger than age 21.

The law gives FDA 180 days to finalize the implementing to***co 21 rule and requires that it take effect no later than 90 days after being finalized. While the law contemplates a regulation to provide retailers with clear direction on the new rules (including a requirement to verify the age of any purchaser under the age of 30), the law does not require a delay of the age 21 requirement.

FDA posted a notice on the website of its Center for To***co Products stating that it views the age 21 purchase age requirement as effective immediately-even though the agency will not write implementing regulations for months. The notice can be found here and states:

"Note: On December 20, 2019, the President signed legislation to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and raise the federal minimum age of sale of to***co products from 18 to 21 years. It is now illegal for a retailer to sell any to***co product-including ci******es, ci**rs and e-ci******es-to anyone under 21. FDA will provide additional details on this issue as they become available."

This means that, according to FDA, all to***co products including ci******es, ci**rs, smokeless to***co, e-ci******es and more cannot be sold to anyone younger than 21. While there are unanswered questions about when FDA plans to enforce this requirement and whether the agency can legally enforce it before updating its regulations, retailers should be aware that FDA views any sale to a person under 21 as a violation of the new law.
