Marine Chemistry 4920 Marine Chemistry As a class we spent a week together doing a multitude of different experiments in the Florida Keys.

We stayed on an island called Fiesta Key where we dropped buckets around the island that would collect Marine Natural Products such as Bryostatin (a group of macrolide lactones) and Largaozle (is derived from cyanobacteria, which may have potentials as an anti-cancer drug). We also went to other places to collect sediment samples and performed titrations to check to see if any of these drugs were around or near the area.
