OLA is providing commissioning services for the transformation of One Pace Plaza East at Pace University. The project will reimagine the Pace campus with new classrooms, creative arts and collaboration spaces, a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, and renovations to Maria's Tower, supporting a more sustainable campus while enhancing the student experience. Renovations are anticipated to be completed in Fall 2026.

OLA provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and fire protection engineering services for the renovation of Calvary Hospital's entrance lobby and new Family Care Center.

The completed project transforms the hospital's ground floor into a welcoming environment with updated finishes, a reconfigured lobby, and dedicated spaces that support Calvary's family-centered model of care, creating a comfortable setting for patients and their loved ones while enhancing the overall visitor experience.

Growth is underway at Cross County Shopping Center. OLA Consulting Engineers is proud to provide full MEP/FP engineering services for the center's transformative north lot expansion, one of the property's most significant additions in decades.

The project includes two new retail buildings totaling approximately 55,000 square feet, a below-grade parking garage, at-grade parking, and a new public plaza designed to enhance the shopping and community experience. OLA is providing utility infrastructure design, comprehensive MEP/FP engineering for owner spaces, and white-box MEP/FP design for future tenant spaces to support long-term flexibility.

We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside Marx Realty on this exciting redevelopment and look forward to seeing the vision come to life.

OLA Consulting Engineers is providing engineering design services for the new Sollazzo Recreation Center in Harrison, NY, including the facility's HVAC, geothermal well field, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems. The 42,000-square-foot recreation center will provide expanded recreational, fitness, and community spaces designed to better serve residents for years to come, supporting the Town/Village of Harrison's vision for a modern, multi-purpose community destination.

Today, we remember Thomas J. O’Dea, who founded our firm in 1974 as Thomas J. O’Dea & Associates, PC.

Tom was a dedicated professional engineer and businessman. Before establishing his own practice, he worked for two engineering firms in New York City, W.A. DiGiacomo Associates and Jaros, Baum, & Bolles, where he had a key role in the design of the control systems for the original World Trade Center. But we do not measure Tom’s contribution by the projects he completed. It continues in the firm he built, the people he mentored and the careers that began because he was willing to start something of his own.

Tom remained interested in OLA long after his retirement. He celebrated our growth, our Westchester home and the opening of our New York City office. Those who spoke with him at our milestone anniversary celebrations know how proud he was of what the firm had become.

He was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Our thoughts are with his family and with everyone who had the opportunity to know and learn from him.

More than 50 years after Tom opened the firm, we are still building upon what he began. We are grateful to be part of his story and honored to carry it forward.

OLA is providing Energy Engineering services for The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen of the City of New York, supporting compliance with NYC energy and water reporting requirements.

The project includes benchmarking and reporting activities for the historic Midtown Manhattan building to ensure compliance with New York City’s building performance and sustainability regulations. Through detailed energy and water data analysis, the work supports accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making related to building operations and efficiency.

As New York City continues to advance its sustainability goals, OLA remains committed to helping building owners navigate evolving energy regulations while supporting long-term operational performance and environmental responsibility.

We are excited to see construction officially underway at 70 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, a transformative mixed-use development that will bring 203 new residences, retail space, and community amenities to the city.

OLA Consulting Engineers is providing MEP engineering services for the project, working alongside the development and design team to support its successful delivery.
