Our JMR bender is hard at work putting precise bends into 1-1/4-inch pipe for another commercial railing project.

Bringing this capability in-house gives our team more control over fit, consistency and schedule—exactly what matters when the footage starts adding up.

Can our team turn 415 linear feet of railing from field measurements to a completed installation in less than one week?

We’re about to find out.

For this new apartment complex, we used our iMapper system to capture the existing conditions and attach reference photos to every scan. The numbered points shown here transfer the field information directly into our design and fabrication process—eliminating unnecessary steps without cutting corners.

Next stop is shop production, where our JMR pipe bender will help us produce consistent bends and keep this aggressive schedule moving.

When standard hardware won’t work, we design a solution that will.

These ADA railings are finishing up for a commercial remodel. Existing conditions required a custom wall connection designed to maintain the required clearance and meet the project’s code requirements.

We took it from a 3D concept to machined and laser-cut profiles, then fabricated and fit everything in-house before paint.

Problem solving is part of the build.

Axis Design fabricated the custom metal grille panels for this bank remodel near 132nd & Dodge in Omaha. The warm metallic finish complements the dark stained woodwork and classic bank-inspired interior.

This is how we roll steel tubing in-house for custom curved metalwork. Keeping this capability in our own shop gives us better control over the radius, consistency, fit, and schedule.

Accurate fabrication starts with accurate information.

For this high-end commercial apartment project, Axis Design used our onsite 3D scanner to capture the multilevel stairways, landings, and surrounding building conditions. Those field points were then used to create a detailed 3D model of the complete interior railing system.

This process helps us design around the building as it actually exists, identify potential fit-up issues before fabrication, and reduce unnecessary adjustments during installation.

From onsite scanning and design through fabrication and installation, Axis Design manages the complete process.
