🏠 Family-Owned & Operated for 30 Years
💡 Mission: Serve all with integrity while striving for excellence
🌍 Serving Hillsborough & surrounding areas

We are family-owned and operated. With the dream of two individuals, Marlin James opened its doors on January 21, 1994. James “Red” Griffin and Marlin “Scott” Clark Sr., with five decades of experience combined, founded Marlin James, Inc on an incredible combination of loyalty, integrity, and just plain pride that lives on to this day. After Red’s retirement in 2006, his daughter, Glenda Clark, took over his control of the company. In 2016, Marlin Clark Jr joined making it a 3rd generation company. We strive to provide the absolute best experience to everyone we meet. We take pride in keeping our families comfortable year-round. Recognized for our leading craftsmanship and service etiquette, Marlin James Inc. has the skilled workforce and factory-certified training to maintain your commercial or residential equipment in optimal working order. Our mission statement is taken very seriously by all employees. It is visible in the office, on their uniforms, and in their vehicle.

The MJ Spice Girls have invaded the Service department today. You may be subjected to British accents and melodies from the 90s, if you call. 🎤

Our office will be closed until 1pm this afternoon. We are taking some time to celebrate our sweet mama to be, Miss Sarah! All calls will be returned as soon as we are back. 🤎

❤️Marlin James took part in our third year of ! Since its launch in 2009, this Lennox program has partnered with HVAC companies nationwide to provide a HVAC system free of charge to families in need every year.

Marlin James is honored to be a part of this program and was blessed with the opportunity to do four installations for 2026. We are thankful for Lennox’s partnership with this and their willingness to allow us to do more than one install yearly.

Our nominations came from our community and even some thoughtful employees who have witnessed first hand long-time customers and their needs. The four chosen local families have faced challenges & hardships in all shapes and sizes. However, this program reminds us that we are never alone in life, we can always count on others to stand in the gaps and lift each other up.

is about community - neighbors supporting neighbors.

We would like to also thank our employees who went above and beyond for these installs. They worked long hours with smiles on their faces. Every small gesture and act did not go unnoticed. We are blessed with amazing employees! Without their hard work, last week would not have been possible. 🥰

All smiles for our second install!

Sadly, the rest of our installs this week are postponed until next week. We are praying for the skies to clear and good weather for installs! 🙏🏻❤️

We had a WONDERFUL start to week! Each year we partner with Lennox to support our community by donating a new HVAC to families in need.

Please be in prayer over these installs. We are battling a rough looking forecast for the rest of the week. ☔️

We are determined to get these completed. ❤️💪🏼
