🌞 Your outdoor AC condenser is fighting a battle against 105°F heat , give it some backup!

Your condenser (the big unit outside) is your AC's radiator. If it can't breathe, your whole system suffers. During extreme heat, every little bit helps.

🧼 3 quick condenser checks:

1️⃣ CLEAN THE COILS , Dirt, dust, and debris act as insulation on the coil fins. A gentle rinse with a garden hose (unit OFF, please!) can improve heat transfer dramatically.

2️⃣ CHECK CLEARANCE : Your condenser needs at least 2 feet of clearance on all sides for proper airflow. Trimming back bushes, weeds, or overgrown plants can drop your head pressure significantly.

3️⃣ PROVIDE SHADE (carefully!) : A shaded condenser can run 5-10°F cooler, improving efficiency. But NEVER enclose it : airflow is more important than shade. A strategically placed shade sail or planting trees at a distance works best.

But here's what many homeowners don't realize: even a perfectly running AC is only designed to cool your home about 20°F below the outside temperature.

That means when it's 105°F outside, 85°F inside may be completely normal : not a sign your system is broken.

⚠️ What's normal during extreme heat:
✅ Air blowing 15-20°F cooler than room temp
✅ System running longer cycles (that's okay!)
✅ Home staying 75-85°F when it's 100°F+ outside
