26’ x 16’ A-Frame Patio Cover 🔨

This backyard got a serious upgrade.

We built this custom A-frame and lean-to cover to create a large, open outdoor living space that feels like an extension of the home. The vaulted ceiling, exposed framing, finished wood ceiling, stone-wrapped columns, lighting, and fans bring the whole space together.

From framing to finished product, this is the kind of outdoor living project we love building.

Old fence out. Fresh cedar in. 🔨

This backyard got a major upgrade with a new horizontal cedar privacy fence and custom matching gate.

The horizontal layout gives it a clean, modern look while the cedar brings warmth and character to the space. More privacy, better curb appeal, and a fence built to last.

Thinking about replacing an aging fence or changing up the style of your backyard?

Cedar or composite? Here’s how I explain it to homeowners.

Cedar:
✔ Lower upfront cost
✔ Natural look
✔ Easy to repair
✖ Requires regular maintenance

Composite:
✔ Low maintenance
✔ No staining
✔ Consistent appearance
✔ Long lifespan
✖ Higher upfront investment

Neither one is automatically “better.”

The right choice depends on your budget, how much maintenance you’re willing to do, and how long you plan on keeping the deck.

Which would you choose for your backyard — cedar or composite?

Building a deck shouldn’t feel like guesswork.

At Carpenter GuyNW, we help our customers see the plan before construction begins. From the overall layout to framing, beams, joist direction, stairs, railings, and other details, we work through the design so everyone knows what’s being built.

A clear plan means:
🔨 Fewer surprises
📐 Better planning
🏠 A design that fits your home
✅ Confidence before construction starts

You don’t have to figure out every detail yourself. Bring us your idea, and we’ll help turn it into a plan.

Some upgrades don’t just change the look—they completely change how you use the space.

✔️ Black aluminum railing with a warm cedar drink rail for the perfect place to set your morning coffee or evening drink.
✔️ ZipUp UnderDeck water diversion system to create a dry, usable space beneath the deck, even when it’s raining.

Clean lines. Low maintenance. More outdoor living.

Which feature would you want most—the cedar drink rail or the dry space underneath?

Privacy without sacrificing style.

This custom cedar screen gave the homeowners the separation they wanted while keeping a warm, natural look that fits the landscape. Simple, clean lines and craftsmanship that will look even better as the cedar ages. 🌲🪚

What’s your preference—natural cedar or stained cedar?
