We get it. When you’re looking at multiple bids for a commercial construction project, it’s hard not to immediately compare the numbers at the bottom.

But here’s the thing: the lowest bid isn’t always the lowest cost in the end.

Sometimes one estimate includes things another doesn’t. Permits, electrical or HVAC work, material allowances, site conditions, finishes and other details can make a big difference. What looks like the better deal upfront can quickly change once those additional costs start popping up during construction.

That’s why we always recommend looking at what’s actually included, not just the final number.

A good bid should give you a clear picture of your project before construction starts. And a good contractor should be willing to walk you through it, answer your questions and make sure you understand exactly what you’re paying for.

Because the fewer surprises during construction, the better 🙌
