A big day for the future of the trades in Clark County.
Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating Cascadia Tech Academy Construction Technology instructor Lance Landis as he received an incredible surprise: $100,000 from the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence.
With this gift, Lance, will be able to support equipment and supplies for the construction program.
This one is especially meaningful to us at Doriot Construction.
Tracy Doriot has served on the Cascadia Tech advisory board for 30 years and is the contractor of record for its building program. He has long believed that young people deserve to know there is more than one path to a successful and meaningful career. For some students, that path is college. For others, it may begin in a construction shop, learning a skilled trade and discovering what they’re capable of building with their own hands.
Lance represents exactly the kind of educator who makes that possible.
Congratulations, Lance—and congratulations to the entire Cascadia Tech Construction Technology program. We couldn’t be happier to see this investment being made in the next generation of tradespeople.

Some homes don’t need to be left behind. They simply need to be reimagined.

This View Ridge residence already had a remarkable location, beautiful views and a footprint worth preserving. What it needed was a new way of living—better flow, more openness and spaces designed around the homeowners’ lives today.

After a year-long, full-gut renovation, the home feels completely renewed, yet still unmistakably theirs.

Swipe to see where this transformation began.

Same location. A completely new story.

We’ll be sharing much more from this remarkable project in the first issue of The Doriot Insider, coming in October. Subscribe Here: https://doriotconstruction.com/doriotinsider/

Could your current home become the home you would choose today?

What does it take to build around the view? Sometimes, about 300 truckloads of sand!

Before our Long Beach, WA project began taking shape vertically, nearly 3,000 yards of additional sand were brought onto the site to elevate the main building pad.

Why?

To position the home high enough to maximize the ocean view above the surrounding tree line.

It’s one of those decisions that will be nearly invisible when the home is complete—but it will influence the way the homeowners experience this house every single day.

At Doriot Construction, some of the most important parts of a project happen long before you can see them in the finished home.

3,000 yards. Approximately 300 truckloads. One incredible view.

Something new is coming from Doriot Construction! (read on...)

A FIRST LOOK ✨

What a difference a year can make.

We recently celebrated the completion of this remarkable View Ridge transformation, and we couldn't resist sharing a first glimpse at just how far this home has come.

This was far more than a cosmetic remodel. It was a complete reimagining of the home—thoughtfully redesigned around the way our clients wanted to live today and for years to come.

And this is only the beginning of the story.

Over the coming weeks, we'll take you inside the transformation with Tracy Doriot for a closer look at the design decisions, construction challenges and craftsmanship that brought this home to life.

Thoughtful design. Exceptional craftsmanship. Beautifully transformed.
