Wow! That’s fast.

🚨 104 MPH IS NEVER OK 🚨 This week, one of our officers stopped a driver traveling 104 mph on I-75, where the posted speed limit is 70 mph. Under Florida’s Super Speeder law (F.S.S. 316.1922), it is against the law to:
🔹 Drive 100 mph or faster in a manner that threatens the safety of people or property or interferes with another vehicle; or
🔹 Drive 50 mph or more above the posted speed limit.

At 104 mph, a driver has far less time to react, and the consequences of one mistake can be devastating. No appointment, event, work meeting, or whatever destination is worth risking a life.

Under F.S.S. 316.1922, super speeder convictions can carry a $500 fine and up to 30 days in jail for a first offense. Repeat offenders face a $1,000 fine, up to 90 days in jail, and possible license revocation.

Slow down. Follow the posted speed limit and help everyone get to their destination safely.
