The last 2 years they've really been hitting the young people in particular about how Fusion Power will be solving the energy problems. It's been sad to watch the push. (I could show you the 1972 Scientific American article about fusion and the new "toroid" reactors... blah, blah, blah.
If you actually researched the "announcements" they've been making the last few years, you'd laugh and perhaps cry.
Remember, every physicist can teach a class about how closed system devices can never make more power out than the power in. As you'll read in the graphic, it's simply because they renamed a fusion reactor an open system. That is particularly funny or horrific (depending on your point of view) since a fusion reactor, that has temperatures hotter than the Sun, does NOT in any way interact with the environment. As I said, it's arguably the most closed system device ever thought of by Mankind.
BTW, The John Device specifically uses Gravity and does interact with the environment - making it an open system, welcome to make more power out than power in. Yet physicists laugh at it, while lauding a system that they know can never work.
Something to consider... :^)
