TEG (triethylene glycol) contactor towers remove water v***r from natural gas streams, making them essential to gas processing operations. When internal components wear or need upgrading, the work has to be done right — and safely.

Hot tapping is a technique that connects a new branch or valve to an existing pipeline while it stays pressurized and in service — no shutdown required.
How It Works
A branch fitting and valve are welded onto the outside of the operating pipeline. A drilling machine then cuts through the pipe wall within that fitting, and the cutout section is removed through the valve. The line keeps flowing the entire time.
Why Operators Use Hot Tapping

✓ No venting or purging product to the atmosphere

Pipeline corrosion doesn't just happen one way — and understanding the difference between internal and external corrosion is critical to maintaining pipeline integrity.
External Corrosion
External corrosion attacks the outside of the pipe, typically caused by:

✓ Atmospheric exposure on above-ground sections
