Thinking about building? Here are three honest questions to ask any builder before you sign anything:

What's this really going to cost — all in? A good builder will talk numbers straight, not bury surprises.
How long will it actually take? Weather and supply hiccups happen here; you deserve a realistic timeline, not a hopeful one.
What happens if something goes wrong after I move in? Ask about the warranty. How a builder handles the stuff that comes up later tells you everything.

Funny how things change.
As a kid, sanding cabinet parts in my dad's shop felt like a chore I'd never escape. These days, getting to work next to him is one of my favorite parts of the week. Same shop, same sawdust — totally different feeling.
Working alongside him again has given me a whole new appreciation for what he sacrificed to raise eight kids. And every cabinet that leaves this shop has both our hands on it. That's not a tagline — that's just how it is.

Planning a remodel? Start here: don't start with Pinterest.
Start with how you actually live. Where does everybody pile up in the morning? Where do the shoes land? What's the one thing about your kitchen that drives you crazy every single day?
The prettiest remodel in the world flops if it doesn't fit your real life. We always walk the space with you first and talk through the day-to-day before we ever talk finishes. Get the bones right, and the pretty part takes care of itself.

Ever wonder where the name comes from?
The Uintah Basin is where we live, where we work, and where the families we build for put down their lives. The mountain in our logo is the horizon we wake up to. The sun rising between those peaks — that's the start of every project. A new home, a new chapter.
We didn't name the company after ourselves. We named it after this place. Because that's who we're building for.

"Should I build site-built or go with a manufactured home?"
I get this one a lot — and most site-built guys won't tell you straight. Here's the honest version: both have their place.
Site-built gives you full flexibility on design and finishes, built right on your lot from the ground up. A manufactured home can get you into a quality home faster and often for less, which matters when budget or timeline is tight.
The right answer is the one that fits your family, your land, and your numbers. We build both, so we've got no reason to push you one way or the other. We'll just lay it out plain and let you decide.

If you don't know us yet — hi, I'm Justin Lemon, and this is Basin New Home.

I was born and raised right here in the Uintah Basin. Started sweeping jobsites for my dad around age eight, sanding cabinet parts stacked as tall as I was by the time I was a teenager. After a dozen years building homes in Wyoming, my wife and I came home in 2024 to be near family — and I'm back in the shop working alongside my dad again. Full circle.
