Evil showed its face today in our small town. An inexplicable act was committed against our Indian River County Sheriffs and a civilian this morning. One of those brave Sheriff’s, Terri Mashkow, a mother, a wife, was taken from this world. An incomprehensible act took this Hero’s life.
A little about, Terri from our perspective. She loved us. So much so, we catered her wedding just last year. An incredible time was had. We love her. It seemed like every week we’d see her smiling face. She was in here just last week. To say that we, as a community, are crushed is an understatement.
Over the years, we’ve become friends with most of the Sheriff’s Department, probably all of them. We believe in taking care of the folks that take care of us. From the Sheriff’s, to Vero PD, to the firemen…we like to help when we can.
Tomorrow (11-22-25), we want to help again.
Starting at 8am, everything sold inside of Pepper & Salt Market, the entire dollar amount will be donated to these affected families. We will be slanging out breakfast at a lightning fast pace to hopefully raise as much money as possible for these individuals and their families. The Market will close at 11am.
Burgers. I will have modified Texas Two Handers (tiny bit smaller, not by much) tomorrow for sale at 10am-12pm. All the money made on these will be donated to the affected individuals and their families.
Pepper & Salt BBQ will be closed tomorrow for normal BBQ operations.
Cliff notes -
