WE NEED YOUR CONTINUED HELP! Due to the flooding situation at the Kentucky River, Versailles Municipal Utilities is asking all water customers, and customers of South Woodford Water and Northeast Woodford Water Districts, to take immediate steps to conserve water.

At this time, the water treatment plant’s intake at the Kentucky River is in danger of flooding, which would cause the shutdown of the intake. It is critical we all conserve as much as possible in light of additional flooding to conserve the storage of potable water in the system. At this time, there is no need to boil water for consumption.

Conserving water now is crucial for maintaining essential service. We appreciate your cooperation and will continue to closely monitor the situation. Please share!

From the City of Versailles, please note we are pulling what we can from our Frankfort Plant Board connection! Please conserve where you can till this is resolved!

Versailles Municipal Utilities: LOWER THAN NORMAL WATER PRESSURES

Customers of Versailles Municipal Utilities may notice lower than normal water pressures. This is a result of a valve failure near the water booster station on Huntertown Rd. Not all customers are affected.

We anticipate that the new valve will be inserted into the system early Saturday morning, Sept. 7th pending any unforeseen issues with the contractor.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through getting this valve replaced and back into operation. You can help us out by limiting the filling of pools, washing vehicles, watering lawns and conserving any other water use as much as possible.

There is no Boil Water Advisory issued at this time. We will continue to update as we can until this has been resolved.

Versailles still has stored water, and is also purchasing water from Kentucky American Water through a connection used in emergency situations.

Effective 2/21/24 Boil Water Advisory has been lifted for those affected in the Homestead area.

2/20/24 Update on the boil water, it will continue to be in affect until at least tomorrow around noon 2/21/24. Again, we will post on our FB page, on our website with all updates. Once the advisory as been lifted we will also call those who have an active number on file in our office.

Feb 19, 2024 a main break was repaired; however it caused low pressure or no water. Those living on Mallard Park, Foxtail Rd, Dove Park, Wells Ln, Ashby Cir, Ashby Ct, Gaffney Ct. are under a boil water advisory. If you are using the water for human consumption bring the water to rapid boil for three minutes. We will post on FB our website newoodfordwaterdistrict.com and call those who are affected with the number we have on file.
