🟢 GOOD SAFETY CATCH RECOGNITION 🟢
At McLendon Enterprises, Inc., safety is more than a policy—it's a commitment to looking out for one another.
Today, we proudly recognize Jonathan Moran and Landon Smith for demonstrating exceptional safety leadership. While performing their work, they noticed something that didn't seem right. Instead of walking past it or assuming someone else had already checked it, they stopped, asked questions, and reported the concern. Their awareness led to the discovery of a serious hidden hazard that helped prevent what could have been a very serious workplace incident if left unnoticed.
This is exactly the kind of leadership that transforms a safety culture. It inspires others to stay alert, speak up, and never ignore a potential hazard.
At MEI, every employee has the right and the authority to Stop Work and report unsafe conditions. Sometimes what you report may turn out to be nothing, but what if it isn't? One conversation, one question, or one report could be the action that saves someone's life.
We often say:
"Reporting safety concerns brings first aid to the uninjured."
On behalf of the McLendon Enterprises, Inc. Safety Department, thank you, Jonathan Moran and Landon Smith, for your commitment to protecting your coworkers. Your actions remind us that true safety leadership isn't about rank or title—it's about caring enough to act.
Hazards Don't Fix Themselves—People Do.
Thank You Both for Your Leadership and Commitment to Safety,
Brent W. Holcombe
MEI Safety & Health Director
