Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend!

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8, when clocks move forward one hour at 2:00 a.m. Don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour and enjoy the longer evenings ahead. A small reminder from all of us at WGL Energy to help keep your week running smoothly.

It’s also a great moment to take a few quick safety steps:

• Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
• Replace old batteries in emergency devices
• Check that flashlights and first aid kits are stocked

WGL Energy's involvement in this major solar initiative reflects the strength of our partnerships and the dedication of the teams who worked together to make it possible. We’re grateful for everyone’s hard work and collaboration. Congratulations, all.

We’re proud to share that one of Maryland’s largest rooftop solar arrays is now live at Tradepoint Atlantic.

Installed on the roof of the Floor & Decor building, this project will generate enough clean, carbon-free electricity each year — helping offset energy use at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and supporting Maryland’s clean energy goals.

Projects like this show what's possible when local partners work together to make smart use of existing spaces and invest in a healthier, more resilient future for our region. We're grateful to Solar Gaines, WGL Energy, MyBGE, and BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) for their collaboration and shared commitment to sustainability.
