Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Truck Semi Mechanic who is well-versed in maintaining and repairing semi-trucks and heavy-duty diesel equipment, including older models. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A CDL, allowing them to operate and test vehicles as needed. This role requires a diverse skill set, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and hands-on mechanical expertise with vintage and modern diesel engines.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
β’ Conduct preventative maintenance on semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
β’ Work with older equipment, ensuring proper functionality and longevity through specialized repairs.
β’ Utilize mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
β’ Operate and test vehicles with a Class A CDL to ensure repairs meet safety and performance standards.
β’ Maintain/complete accurate service records and documentation of repairs.
β’ Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
β’ Class A CDL required.
β’ Extensive experience working with older diesel equipment and semi-trucks.
β’ Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.
β’ Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
β’ Help with welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
β’ Ability to lift heavy components and work in various weather conditions.
