Another major milestone at ATLā€™s Concourse D South āœˆļø

Last week, another massive modular section made its move at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Carros Metal Concepts is proud to be part of this project, installing the Benchmark insulated metal panels and extrusions manufactured by Kingspan.

Projects of this scale require careful coordination and skilled crews, and itā€™s exciting to see the work come together as these modular sections make their way into place.

Great work by everyone involved! šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

A great day on the course for the CMC team!

We had two teams representing our company at the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia Fall Clay Shoot on Friday at Barnsley Sporting Grounds in Adairsville, GA.

It was a great opportunity to step away from the job sites, connect with others in the construction industry, and enjoy some friendly competition. We are proud of Luke Holmes for placing first in the individual score and our team for placing second on team score!

Thanks to ABC of Georgia for putting together another great event!

You've seen the finished projects. But what exactly does Carros Metal Concepts do?

Our capabilities go well beyond installation. From the first idea to the final details, our team brings together design, fabrication and field expertise to help turn architectural concepts into finished spaces.

ā€¢ Custom architectural design and faƧade solutions
ā€¢ In-house ACM and trim fabrication
ā€¢ IMP installation
ā€¢ Specialty architectural metal installation
ā€¢ Custom finish work and project-specific details

With in-house design capabilities, our team can help develop custom solutions when a project calls for something beyond the standard.

And when it comes time to build it, our fabrication and field teams carry those details through from the shop to installation.

Designed with purpose. Fabricated with precision. Installed with experience. āš™ļø

Still rebuilding šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø āœˆļø

Work continues at Tyndall Air Force Base as our team continues to make progress on flight-line support buildings and hangars across the installation.

From exterior metal panels to the details that bring each building closer to completion, these latest photos show just how much progress has been made.

Weā€™re proud to continue playing a part in the rebuilding and modernization of this Air Force base and to see these projects taking shape.

Friday was a great day to get out of the office and onto the course at Selwood Farm & Hunting Preserve!

The Carros Metal Concepts team was proud to participate in the annual clay shoot hosted by Alabama Farm Credit, benefiting the Together We Grow Foundation. CMC was also proud to support the event as a station sponsor.

It was a great opportunity to spend time together as a team while supporting a cause that invests directly back into agriculture and our communities.

Thank you to Alabama Farm Credit, Selwood Farm, and everyone who helped make the day a success. We were glad to be a part of it!

Employee Appreciation Lunch at Carros Metal Concepts! šŸŒ®

Every quarter, we try to slow down for a little while, eat something good and show some appreciation for the people who make what we do possible.

Fridayā€™s menu was a fajita bar with grilled chicken, steak and pork, grilled veggies, Mexican rice, beans and all the fixings ā€” and homemade sopapilla chips with ice cream and honey for dessert.

Weā€™re thankful for this crew and always enjoy getting everyone together around the table!

This building is going to move. Literally.

We shared a look at this project at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport a few weeks ago, and we just received an updated photo from the project team. Itā€™s pretty incredible to see how much has changed.

This is one of the ā€œmodsā€ being built for the Concourse D South expansion. Instead of constructing the entire structure in place at the concourse, these massive sections are built in a separate area of the airport and substantially completed there.

Then comes the really cool part.

Once a mod is ready, itā€™s loaded onto a Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) and moved across the airfield during a carefully coordinated overnight window before being set into its permanent location at Concourse D. This approach allows the expansion to move forward while minimizing disruption to airport operations and passengers.

Carros Metal Concepts has been part of this ongoing expansion, installing Kingspan Insulated Panels architectural insulated metal panels on the exterior of the mods. This latest photo gives you a great look at just how much progress has been made on the one we shared a few weeks ago.

Swipe to see where this one was just a few weeks ago!

Itā€™s not every day you get to help build a building that will eventually travel across an airport. We think thatā€™s pretty cool. šŸ˜Ž

Labor Day has always been about more than a day off.

Its roots reach back to the late 1800s, when America was being transformed by industry. Railroads stretched across the country. Steel reshaped our skylines. Factories expanded. Bridges, roads and buildings connected growing communitiesā€”and behind all of it were American workers and skilled tradespeople.

The first Labor Day celebration was held in 1882, and by 1894, it had become a federal holiday honoring the contributions of American workers.

More than a century later, we still see that legacy all around us.

The tools have changed. Technology has changed. The way we design, fabricate and build has changed.

But one thing hasnā€™t:

It still takes skilled people to turn an idea on paper into something real.

As a company rooted in architectural metal fabrication and construction, weā€™re proud to be part of an industry that continues a very old American traditionā€”building the places where people live, work, learn, travel and gather.

This Labor Day, we celebrate the generations of American workers who helped build this nation and those who continue that work today.

Happy Labor Day from Carros Metal Concepts. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

A great weekend for a great cause!

Carros Metal Concepts was proud to sponsor the Kids Win Disc Golf Tournament benefiting Speedway Childrenā€™s Charities at EchoPark Speedway.

Josh Finbar represented the Carros team on the course and had the opportunity to take part in a fun weekend supporting an organization that gives back to children and families in our community.

Thank you to everyone who organized, sponsored and participated in the tournament. We were glad to be a small part of it!
