CM Munden Construction Services CM Munden Construction Services is a full service demolition and wrecking contractor.

With our project management team’s combined nearly half century of experience, and knowledgeable staff, we are set up to tackle any type of demolition project ranging from interior/selective, to multi story office buildings and infrastructure. We are a SWaM certified Woman owned business and a Virginia DPOR certified Class A Virginia contractor. We are a VDOT prequalified vendor and carry a Hazwoper certification, as well as having all employees enrolled in the Rapid Gate and TWIC programs.

Four lanes of bridge demo gone in a weekend.

Bridge demo weekend on I-64. With live interstate traffic running just feet away on the outside lanes and LaSalle Ave closed below, our crew safely demolished and processed the center span of the bridge within the closure window.

We are loving our new Cat machine. The new landed at our Central Environmental Lab demo project and made quick work of the building. We’ll be back next year to finish the interior gut out of the nearly 22,000 square foot facility that remains, to bring the plants laboratory up to modern standards.

Demolition of six triple wide trailers, previously used previously as Marines training classrooms. Utilizing our 330 and coupler, we are able to demolish the buildings, then swap to the shear for better recycling of steel. Topsoiling the site upon completion of demo, then a fresh layer of hydroseed to finish it off!

Perimeter security fence and E&S measures are being installed on one of our newest projects! We’ll be performing abatement and demolition on 13 buildings for NNRHA, along with all infrastructure demo. Once complete, our crews will lay topsoil and grade the site, getting it ready to receive hydroseeding for this future green space!

After an inspection revealed that a structurally compromised section of the building needed to be removed, CM Munden crews were tasked with the complete separation and demolition of the deteriorating wing. Lifts were used to carefully cut away the structure at the separation point, while a grapple-style bucket attachment enabled the excavator to perform the demolition efficiently. Full demolition and site backfill will be completed soon.

🚨New project alert 🚨
A few pics of the pre-demo abatement at the Suffolk Public Schools maintenance building. We abated nearly 35,000 sq ft of floor tile along with other asbestos containing materials. Once demo is completed, we’ll excavate the gravel lot, then prep the site to return to green space for SPS. Stay tuned for demo pics!
