The federal tax credit didn't help save any money. It just raise the cost of Geothermal Heat Pumps & Wells. The statement is true
"YOU will SAVE up to 70% on your utilities" Beware of the cost of installation, could increase by 30%. The city of Virginia Beach will charge a $50 permit for a well for irrigation aka watering your lawn, but if you say you are putting a well in for a loop field it will cost $500, which is absolutely crazy!! You will be able to use it for both. "Irrigation & Loop Field" I believe the Federal Tax should be income based. Allowing the middle class to actually reduce their utilities. It's the middle class that is struggling to survive the cost of living. Back to Dominion Power charging us all for their Wind Turbines. We should have been able to vote on weather we wanted these monstrosity off the shores of our beaches.

What is the difference between Geothermal and an air source heat pump? We have an answer!

"A geothermal heat pump extracts heat from the ground where it is at a constant temperature (year-round). An air-source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air. Think of it this way, it's way easier to heat or cool your home, to a comfortable 70 degrees, from a more constant temperature of 50 degrees (geothermal) than it would be to use the extreme temperatures from outside(air-source), which could be extremely cold or miserably hot."

How long will this system last before it needs to be replaced? We have an answer!

Typically 20-25 years. Whereas other conventional systems last around 15 years. They last longer for two reasons:

1. The equipment is installed indoors(usually in your garage), so it is protected from the outside weather and vandalism.

2. There is no combustion (fire) within the geothermal unit, meaning no flame wear-and-tear and more moderate temperatures within the equipment.

They are in need of GENERATORS(new or used), HEATERS, CHAINSAWS, GASOLINE, OFF ROAD DIESEL, KEROSENE...
Help us Help Bakersville, NC – There is a Retired Guard unit there currently helping, So Tyler Stagg went to help in the efforts.
