The Washington and Lee University Lindley Student Health Center is a 15,000 SF outpatient clinic for student wellness including a student health center and counseling center. The facility was part of a multi-project master plan including relocating student health from the existing facility to a fully renovated swing space, demolishing the existing student health center to facilitate the new Childress Hall (home of the Williams School of Commerce, Economics and Politics) construction, and ultimately, the construction of the new Lindley Student Health Center. The project included campus central utility infrastructure upgrades and extension to serve the new facility, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and low voltage system design by PACE Collaborative.

The project was recently awarded LEED Gold Certification. LEED services provided by PACE Collaborative included documenting PME credits including energy modeling.

Apparently, this post went through QC review and came back with “minor revisions required”… so here we are a little late. 😅

So, while this message didn’t quite make it out on time, our appreciation for the engineers at PACE is always right on schedule.

Happy (belated) Professional Engineers Day to the people who turn impossible problems into workable solutions—and make it look easy in the process. We appreciate you more than words (or timelines) can express!

Projects like these remind us why we love what we do.

Congratulations on the grand opening of the Historical Village at the Dismal Swamp—a place that honors the rich history, resilience, and stories of the people and communities that shaped this remarkable area.

PACE Collaborative is truly honored to have provided the MEP engineering for this project. It was a privilege to be part of such a dedicated design team, helping create a space where history can be preserved, shared, and experienced for generations to come.

We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a project that will educate, inspire, and connect the community for years to come. Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this vision to life!

A new historical village opened Thursday at the Dismal Swamp in Chesapeake. It features exhibits that preserve the stories of Indigenous people, freedom seekers, and the restored 1903 Cornland School.

We are thrilled to once again serve as the Gold Sponsor for this year’s AIA Hampton Roads Annual Golf Tournament at the Cypress Landing Golf Course. The beautiful weather made for a perfect day to welcome golfers and provide delicious refreshments.
