Did you know that June is National Safety Month? Here’s a few tips to help you “work smarter, not harder!”
1. Work in or as close as possible to neutral posture when sitting and standing.
2. Avoid excessive weights and high forces when you lift, lower, push, pull and carry.
Take frequent breaks if you perform repetitive movements.
3. Keep moving-change the way you sit or stand frequently.
4. Tell your supervisor if you are experiencing any of these signs or symptoms: pain or swelling, loss of strength or range of motion, tenderness, numbness or tingling.
