Went to Meet the Team night for the Texas Stars last night — one of my favorite hobbies is watching hockey with the family.

I've followed this organization for about 5 years now — this is our 2nd season as season ticket holders — and getting to bring my family to meet the players never gets old. It's a good reminder that behind the jerseys (and behind the job) there are just people who love what they do.

Speaking of that — that's kind of how I try to show up in my work too. I'm Colin Nissen, an outside sales rep with Richards Supply covering Central Texas. I help fabricators, manufacturers, and maintenance teams get the right tools, safety gear, and consumables without the runaround — and I genuinely like figuring out the right fit for someone's operation, not just moving product.

Great turnout yesterday at MTC's Fourth Annual Health, Wellness, and Safety Fair in Temple, TX! 🛠️

Richards Supply was proud to show up alongside Radians, Walter, Louisville Ladder, and Accuform — five booths strong, all focused on giving MTC's team the tools and resources to stay safe on the job.

Great conversations, great connections, and a great reminder of why events like this matter — putting real products in people's hands and real people behind the brands.

5 years ago I never would've guessed I'd be sitting at a desk with a "Key Accounts" title on my business card. I started at Richards Supply as a delivery driver — just trying to learn the ropes and do a good job getting product where it needed to go. From there I moved into the warehouse as assistant manager, and eventually got a shot as a VMI specialist. That's really where it all started for me — learning how to build relationships with the people and businesses I was serving, not just move product.

That experience is what led me into outside sales, a path I honestly never saw for myself. And when I look back on these 5 years, that's really what it's all been about — relationships. Building them, nurturing them, and showing up for people again and again until trust is just there.

Looking at my desk today — a 5-year service award, a certificate from a recent industrial band training class with the M.K. Morse team, and my old business card that's followed me through it all — I'm just grateful. Grateful for a company that took a chance on someone learning from the ground up, and grateful for every relationship built along the way.

If you'd told delivery-driver me that I'd end up here, I wouldn't have believed you. Proud to be part of the Richards Supply family, and excited for what's next.

Great turnout today at our Respiratory Protection Lunch & Learn in Temple!

Dustin Lee with PIP/Honeywell walked our group through proper respirator selection, fit, usage, and compliance — and stuck around to answer every question that came up. Lots of great conversation in a relaxed setting, good food, and a few laughs along the way.

Thanks to everyone who came out, asked questions, and made it such a great session. Richards Supply had some swag on hand, and PIP is following up with product samples for anyone who wants to try them out.

This is exactly why we love doing these — real conversations, real value, and a chance to get to know our customers outside the four walls of a job site.

Wrapped up our Sqwincher hydration training series today with a Lunch & Learn at Clayton Homes Waco 1!

Over the past few weeks we've gotten to sit down with crews across our territory to talk heat stress prevention, hydration, and staying safe out there in the Texas heat — and today's session closed it out strong.
