It was great to be able to spend time with our Louisiana State Representatives at the Louisiana Chemical Association's Legislative Dinner for the Greater New Orleans Area! Thank you to LCA for giving us the opportunity to share how crucial Cornerstone Energy Park site companies' contribution is to the world in which we live. Please pardon our progress as we transition Cornerstone Energy Park for a sustainable future. As CEP site company UBE C1 Chemicals America continues construction of its $500 million DMC/EMC manufacturing facility, periodic closures and detours of River Road will be necessary. These closures will be scheduled outside of peak traffic times and will typically last less than one hour. Closures are scheduled to begin in early December and last through early February.

We will continue to communicate details to the Waggaman and Ama communities in advance of any temporary closures through our Cornerstone Safety Notification System. On Thursday, Feb. 13, Japanese company UBE broke ground on their $500M production facility at Cornerstone Energy Park. UBE will produce chemistry necessary for lithium-ion battery production with their proprietary technology that is the first of its kind on American soil, significantly reducing reliance on imports from China.
