There’s more to great fabrication than what happens inside our shop.

Today, members of our Project Management and Detailing teams stepped away from their desks to get an up-close look at the galvanizing process.

Rebellion uses galvanized steel on many of our projects, but the galvanizing itself is performed by trusted partners. Seeing the process firsthand gives our team a better understanding of what happens after fabricated steel leaves our shop and how decisions made during detailing and fabrication can impact the final galvanized product.

From preparing steel for galvanizing to understanding how pieces are dipped, handled and finished, every bit of knowledge helps us design smarter, fabricate better and anticipate challenges before they become problems in the field.

That’s a big part of how we work at Rebellion: understand the entire process, not just our piece of it.

Meet Ryan Thompson
Director of Operations!

Ryan has been part of Rebellion for 7 years and has had a hand in just about every part of the business along the way. From building systems to solving tough problems and helping our teams work better together, he’s a huge part of what keeps Rebellion moving forward.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Ryan spending time outdoors with his family, racing dirt bikes with his boys, or diving headfirst into his latest hobby.

We’re VERY lucky to have you on the team, Ryan! 🤘

Pretty cool seeing a Rebellion project featured in 'Metal Architecture!' 👏

The River’s Edge Observation Tower & Treetop Walk in Council Bluffs was a project that challenged our team to do what we do best...build cool sh*t and solve problems along the way.

From the structural steel and cantilevered observation deck overlooking the Missouri River to the stairs, handrails, guardrails and all the details in between, there was a lot that went into bringing this one-of-a-kind project to life.

We’re proud of the craftsmanship our team put into this project and grateful for the great partners we worked alongside to make it happen.

Happy Birthday to our Purchasing Manager, Jonathan Schall, better known around here as J-Bone! 🎉😂

When he’s not keeping purchasing on track, apparently he’s out here personally generating enough energy to power Wes’s office. ⚡️🚲

We’re still not entirely sure what his official job description says, but “Purchasing Manager / Backup Power Supply” feels accurate.

Meet Ross — Founder & Visionary of Rebellion Fabrication.

What started in a single stall garage back in 2012 has grown into something much bigger than building steel. For Ross, it’s about building a company where great people can do great work, tackle big problems, and actually enjoy who they do it with.

Best People. Best Projects. Best Pay. 👊

And outside the shop? He’s a husband, girl dad, gearhead, golfer… and a former classical piano player. 🎹 🎶

🇺🇸 50 MILES. FINISHED. 🇺🇸

THEY DID IT!! 👏🔥

After starting yesterday at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln, pushing through the heat, the overnight hours, sore feet, exhausted legs, and 50 LONG miles… our Rebellion crew officially crossed the finish line at Werner Park this morning! 🏁

We could not be more proud of these guys. What they accomplished physically is incredible, but even more important is why they did it to raise awareness and support for local veterans experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. ❤️🤍💙

They were hurting. They were tired. But they kept putting one foot in front of the other and finished what they started.

That’s grit. That’s teamwork. And that’s THRIVE OR DIE. 💪

Congratulations, guys!! You absolutely crushed it. Now please go sit down for about three days. 😂👏

🚨 50 MILE MARCH UPDATE! 🇺🇸🥾

We caught up with our Rebellion crew at Stop #4 at Hy-Vee in Gretna this morning and, well… we’re not going to sugarcoat it — the miles are definitely starting to show. 😂 Sore feet, tired legs, and a whole lot of “why did we sign up for this?” energy. 😂

BUT — their spirits are still high, they’re still moving, and they’re ready to FINISH THIS THING. 💪🔥

After walking through the night, they’re officially in the home stretch and expected to cross the finish line at Werner Park around 9:30 AM THIS MORNING! 🏁

50 miles is no joke. We’re incredibly proud of these guys for pushing through the exhaustion and discomfort for a cause much bigger than themselves — supporting local veterans experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. 🇺🇸❤️

ALMOST THERE, BOYS! KEEP MOVING! 👊
