We're excited to introduce Jon Buchele, our Service Project Manager based in Aberdeen, SD 📍

Born and raised in Aberdeen, Jon brings a strong construction background, a passion for problem-solving, and deep roots in the local community. He joined Comstock looking for a new challenge and has quickly embraced the opportunity to help grow our presence in northeastern South Dakota.

Here's what he'll be focused on:
• 🔧 Helping clients navigate repairs, renovations, and facility improvements
• 🤝 Building relationships throughout the Aberdeen community
• 🏗️ Delivering projects with the responsiveness and service Comstock is known for

What Jon enjoys most so far is learning something new every day and connecting with the people who make Comstock such a welcoming team.

Outside of work, you'll likely find him remodeling his house, cheering on his son's soccer team, or spending time with family and friends.

Progress continues at Waverly/South Shore Coyotes School. 🏗️

Over the past few months, crews have been busy checking off major milestones like:

✅ Interior slabs poured
✅ Interior walls framed
✅ MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) roughed-in
✅ Insulation placed
✅ Sheetrock installed
✅ Windows installed

Work now turns to the existing school remodel and exterior improvements.

With each milestone, the project is looking more and more like the finished space students and staff will soon call their own.

We’re lucky to have Darrell in our team!

Meet the Chamber Board Member: Darrell Schreiber

Darrell Schreiber has been an excellent part of our Chamber Board! He was born and raised here in Fergus Falls and has a deep appreciation for this community.

For the past two years, Darrell has been with Comstock Construction and is their service operations manager. His favorite thing about being on the Chamber Board is the unique opportunity it provides him to be deeply involved with the local community.

Outside of work, Darrell is an avid outdoorsman. He can often be found hunting, fishing, mountain biking, or hiking. He and his wife share a passion for exploring, and they like to travel together whenever they can.

Darrell lives by a valuable piece of advice he received: “Be truthful, even if someone doesn’t like the answer, they will appreciate the honesty”. This is such a great, long-lasting, thriving businesses. We are so grateful that Darrell is a part of our Chamber Board and the wonderful perspective he brings to the team!

We’re so excited to share more on this project as it progresses along!

🌟 SPARC Wellness Project Update 🌟

The design team has been hard at work behind the scenes, and we’re excited to share that positive momentum is building for the SPARC Wellness design process.

Working together with JLG Architects, our Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Comstock Construction, City of Wahpeton, Wahpeton Parks and Recreation, and community partners Brad Pauly, Roger Jensen, Amanda Miller Fisher and Stacia Pauly Henningsen, are diligently shaping a design that reflects the needs, priorities, and vision of our community.

Every conversation, site review, and planning session brings us one step closer to a facility that supports wellness, recreation, and connection for all ages. We’re grateful for the collaboration, expertise, and shared commitment driving this project forward. We are hopeful we can share more soon!

A big thank you to the Associated Builders and Contractors - Minnesota/North Dakota Chapter for stopping by The Infinity Center project in Breckenridge, MN for this week's Tailgate Tuesday!

Our crews enjoyed lunch and a valuable safety discussion focused on mobile equipment safety. With multiple trades working on site and equipment ranging from excavators and telehandlers to MEWPs, concrete trucks, and delivery vehicles, staying alert around jobsite traffic is critical.

The conversation reinforced key reminders about seatbelt use, maintaining safe clearances, staying out of blind spots, and preventing struck-by and caught-between incidents. Safety is everyone's responsibility, and taking time for conversations like these helps ensure every worker goes home safely at the end of the day.
