New pictures of one if our last log homes we have been building. This beautiful log home was recently reassembled near Annandale. The log shell came together in two long days with our amazing crew along with Jerry Freeman with his crane and Miller Trucking out of the Walker, along with General Contractor Tom Bronczyk. Jon’s fishing group and high school friends stopped by check it out.

We absolutely love our custom carved entryway door created by Great River Door Company! The craftsman and artists hand carve each design by hand, then the door is sandcarved, revealing the beauty of the wood. We chose a pine bough, because we love pine trees and it is simply beautiful - a piece of art. Many of our homeowners have Great River Door Company doors and appreciate them as much as we do. They do amazing work! If you can dream it, they can make it.

Homeowner Joel Sartore, a world renown wildlife photographer, and his wife Kathy, speak of their want to work with Jon Andersen, a builder at the “top of his game”, and other skilled home builders, to have a unique log home of the highest quality. Jon & Beth Andersen tell of their years in this artisan business and Jon’s implementation of a rare Scandinavian building technique.

"Andersen Handcrafted Log Home" will air this Thursday, October 29 at 7 pm central time on Lakeland PBS, Common Grounds show. Tune into KAXE - Bemidji or KAWB - Brainerd and Central MN. Scott Knudson, Producer / Director of Common Grounds captured the building of ALH crew building a one-of-a-kind log home for the Satores from the largest white pine logs he has ever worked with. Homeowner Joel Sartore, world renown photographer for National Geographic with Photo Ark and his wife Kathy, speak of their want to work with Jon and all the other skilled home builders, to have a unique home with the highest quality.

The show will also air on Lakeland PBS on Saturday October 31 at 11:30 am and 6:30 pm and Sunday, November 1st at 6:30 pm.
