Fall 2026 Semester by the Sea has officially begun!

Class kicked off this Monday at the Darling Marine Center and yesterday was our first day of our Introduction to Research Diving.

Silly me, I left my GoPro on the pool deck of Bowdoin College so unfortunately I do not have in water photos to share but here is one of the team doing the 10 minute tread led by Instructor Maxwell.

Way to go on the first day team! You already demonstrated amazing teamwork and efficiency. 🤿

I am two weeks behind, but here they are!

15 newly certified divers and two weeks of diving here at the University of Maine.

The students had absolutely wonderful weather and sea conditions the whole time, which helped keep the smiles on their faces despite the chilly water temps 🥶

Sharing from another group!

Reminder that we will be having the annual BUY/SELL/SWAP/Give away of scuba gear at the Rockport Town dock (near Andre the Seal statue) this coming Sunday April 12 from 9am to noon. Swing by and see what’s what, maybe pick up an item or two, or sell an item or two out of your gear locker. Or just come and talk scuba as we get ready for the spring diving season!
