Thinking about adding a freeze dryer to your home setup? Freeze dryers are a great tool for long-term food storage, but they can place extra demand on your home’s electrical system. Most residential freeze dryers require:

🔌 A dedicated 20-amp circuit
⚡ 110–120 volts for small/medium units
⚡ 220 volts for larger or commercial models

Before you plug in, double-check your outlet and circuit capacity or talk with a licensed electrician to stay safe and avoid tripped breakers.

Keep it clear for safety!

Those green transformer boxes in your yard? They’re not just lawn décor. Utility crews need at least 10 feet in front and 4 feet on each side to work safely—especially during outages.

✅ No fences
✅ No shrubs
✅ No obstructions

Even if it’s on your property, it’s on an easement—crews must have access. Help us restore power faster by keeping the area clear!
