Wilhoit Propane Wilhoit Propane opened in 1946. We offer a variety of products and services to homes, churches, and Mike Brannan joined our service department in 2015.

Since 1946, the Wilhoit family has been serving East Central Georgia with its propane needs. The Wilhoit brothers, Wirt and Jud Jr., formed the company and ran the business out of their family home on Court Square in Warrenton. The company was soon moved to the office location on the corner of Court Square where it remains today. In 1990, Wirt’s son-in-law Alton Johnson came to work for the compan

y. Wirt’s daughter, Jo Johnson, later joined the company in 1992. Today, after several expansions, acquisitions, and moves, Wilhoit Propane now serves the counties of Warren, McDuffie, Hancock, Columbia, Taliaferro, Glascock, Jefferson, Washington, and Baldwin. Our service and delivery staff has over 70 years of combined service. They each have met and exceeded the training set forth by the Georgia Propane Association and the Federal Department of Transportation. Billy Newsome and Scott Hawkins have been delivering propane for over 50 years combined. They are both dedicated to providing timely deliveries to all of their customers. Tim Landrum has been our Service Technician for over 20 years. He can be depended on for installation or service on all gas appliances. No matter what problem you may be having with your gas appliance, Tim can find the solution. Mike has been learning from Tim Landrum and is now ready to meet your service needs. In addition to our service and delivery staff, our office staff is ready to help meet your propane needs and answer any questions you may have. Barrett Wills joined our team in 2014 as a customer service representative. He is now our office manager and is involved with all aspects of Wilhoit Propane. Barrett is eager to help you with any of your propane questions. Give him a call or come by and let him show you our gas log displays. Kate Graham recently joined our staff. Kate will be involved with day to day operations, marketing, and social media. We look forward to helping Kate learn about the propane industry. Do you know the ins and outs of your propane tank? If not, here are some key pieces you should know about that lie under your tank’s cover. First, is the tank shut-off valve. This can be closed to stop the flow of propane in the event of a leak. Second, is the regulator. This key piece controls the pressure of the propane that is coming out of your tank. The third key piece is the safety relief valve. This will pop open automatically if the pressure gets too high inside the tank. The final piece of your propane tank that is important to know about is the tank gauge. Your propane’s tank gauge will show you the percentage that your tank is full.

If the pilot light goes out on one of your appliances, the first thing you can do is try re-lighting it. If that doesn’t work, it most likely means that your heater, logs, etc. will need to be blown out. If that’s the case, all you have to do is give us a call and we can set up a time for someone to come out and look at that for you.
