Custom Designed Natural Elegance

We just completed the installation of this Garage Headquarters Custom Wood Sectional Garage Door at a maritime center in Massachusetts. Since the building is located right on the water, the doors had to be capable of withstanding weatherization. The material also had to match the unique natural wood incorporated into the design of the building.

Designed with every detail in mind, the garage and side entry door were crafted from Western Red Cedar for a stunning, natural look. This type of wood is known for its natural durability and resistance to decay. Cedar is a great material for wide openings since it can be sourced from naturally long, single planks.

Both doors consist of horizontal planks with a two-inch space in between each one. Gaps between the natural wood plank design give the door an organic look, allow for open ventilation when the door is closed, and allow the door to roll up the track system with smooth, reliable operation for frequent opening and closing. Our solution offers cutting edge durability with a crisp, polished finish for a balance of style and function.

Jambs of the same wood complete the look with a seamless transition from the door to the surrounding frame. This project highlights both the design and performance features of our custom garage doors, emphasizing the expert craftsmanship, highest-quality materials, and functional aspects that we put into every job.

Natural Light Delivered with Modern Architectural Harmony

Our team installed these elegant Garage Headquarters Custom Glass Doors at the new Westerly Car Club and Vault. There was a tight deadline we had to meet for them to open in time. Therefore, we worked with them to determine which doors provided them with the sophisticated aesthetic they desired and had the capabilities to function reliably under heavy use.

With multiple vehicles going in and out each day, the doors needed to withstand constant use. Under the tight deadline, we worked fast and found that our doors would ensure precise control and long-lasting reliability. The mirrored glass provides privacy and a sleek, luxurious feel, which perfectly accentuates the high-end cars that will be stored there.

Installing the custom, precision-engineered doors required exact placement by our technicians on all three doors to guarantee flawless performance. The deadline was met, and the results add to the elegance of the car club.

GHQ Custom Design Experience and Skills Provide Restored Beauty with Practical Functionality

"We are very happy that we chose Garage Headquarters for our four new doors,” said the homeowner. “We moved into an old house that needed historically appropriate doors, while still being durable. The team at Garage Headquarters was able to guide us through the selection process and drafted a plan to reframe the doors. They were very communicative throughout the ordering and installation, and the techs were thorough, clean and eager to make sure we were completely satisfied."
We recently tackled a complex project where we faced multiple serious challenges. There was excessive termite damage and rotting in the openings, and the original openings were too small to accommodate the customers larger vehicles. Our team delivered custom planning and redesign solutions that transformed the space for our local, coastal, Rhode Island client.
To solve the homeowners issues we first had to meet with them and a carpenter on the site to craft a plan. When on-site, one of our technicians discovered that the original openings were not a standard size which meant we needed to reframe a custom layout of all the doors.
The custom engineered openings we designed included three standard, nine-foot-wide openings so the homeowners had more space to drive in their cars and one smaller six-foot opening to allow for easy access to lawn equipment. The termite and rot damage were solved by the replacement of the new door frames.
The GHQ team’s skills and experience enables us to deliver customized solutions that accommodate our clients’ requirements. On this project they resolved the immediate rotting issues and enhanced the functionality and durability of the space.

Customized Beauty Meets Performance
Our client for this project made it clear from the beginning that they wanted a door that would be durable enough to withstand the test of time. With this in mind, we knew exactly which door would offer the best protection and look as good as new even after years of daily wear and tear.
The door we chose for this Massachusetts residence is made of two and a half inches thick, insulated, two-sided steel. Composite overlay boards typically come out of manufacturing white, but on this door, they are solid black all the way through ensuring that if anything were to impact the door it would maintain its sleek, elegant look by not revealing a different color beneath. Black also matches the door and perfectly contrasts the off-white exterior of this home.
This collection of doors offers a customized panel and window style complimenting the architecture of the home. We used a one-piece grille on the top window section to bring continuity down from the vertical panel siding above the garage door.
This Garage Headquarters door from the Black Label Collection enabled the client’s vision to not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the property but also stand out with its robust construction, ensuring long-lasting durability. We delivered a bold, modern look with a classic, elegant style that will complement any modern or traditional home.

A client needed someone who could custom match their new garage doors to the architectural profile of their front entry door. This specific design vision seemed impossible for their original contractor to bring to life on their own. We were recommended to the client by the contractor to aid them in the construction of the client’s vision. The client trusted us and began to see hope that their wishes would not be compromised.
We were given only a hand-drawn image of the profile as well as the desired dimensions for the raised panels on the garage doors. Our dedicated team worked alongside the original contractor to craft our own detailed shop drawings and ensure precise dimensions for the bevels. A custom blade was ordered to guarantee an identical match of the bevels on the front door. With those tools we provided the customer with their vision for their garage doors.
The ability to match a unique design detail on an existing door that was not produced by the same manufacturer is a feat that only we can guarantee. The most exciting part was seeing the result come to life. Taking a hand-drawn picture and turning it into a reality was an incredible accomplishment. We were able to surprise the customer by showing them that their design dreams are within reach.

Recently, we encountered a challenge that truly put our capabilities to the test.

The client was absolutely in love with the color of their front doors and shutters. The charming, unique hue of the doors and shutters added a touch of elegance and warmth to their home. However, they faced a dilemma: the client wanted their new garage doors to match this beloved color exactly, yet they did not know the name of it.

Accepting this challenge with enthusiasm, our team set out to find the perfect match. Using advanced color matching technology, our experts meticulously analyzed the existing color and matched it exactly.

The result was stunning. The new custom garage doors were a flawless match the front doors and shutters. The spark in the client’s eyes was priceless, knowing that we had achieved the perfect harmony they had envisioned for their home.

With Franks Auto Top transitioning into the hands of the next family generation, there was a critical deadline to have a new door installed due to insurance stipulations and the business’s needs.

Although the time constraints were challenging, Garage Headquarters was confident in getting the door installed within the tight window. Due to the manufacturer’s material shortages, the initial duration of the project would have exceeded the deadline. We adapted to the problem by collaborating with another manufacturer that would increase the efficiency of the installation process.

We then went to the site to verify that we had the correct dimensions to guarantee a precision installation. Our proactive approach ensured that we finished the project earlier than the client’s deadline.

The job was completed on time and all expectations were met.
