Athena Willis, a fourth year PhD student with the Action Brain Lab, is seeking VL2 Science of Learning Center participants in her EEG pilot!
We are looking for deaf signers in VL2 to take part in the EEG study. More info can be found on the flyer below. Please share this flyer with people you think might be interested!
The Action & Brain Lab at Gallaudet University (Dr. Lorna Quandt, director) is currently seeking participants for a cognitive neuroscience study on language processing. Our study will collect your brainwave activity (EEG) while you watch videos of different kinds of ASL signs on a computer screen.
Participation takes about an hour and a half, and you will be paid $20/hour for your time.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
-self identify as deaf and fluent in ASL
-Are right-handed and have normal or corrected-to-normal vision

Welcome At the Action & Brain Lab, we use neural and behavioral science to study the embodied aspects of sign language. Through EEG and other methods, we examine the function of sensorimotor, language, and attentional networks of the brain in relation to sign language. Research areas include the
