🌿 Unser Frankfurter Office wird nachhaltiger 🌱

Wir haben in unserem FRA Office selbst Hand angelegt: Gemeinsam als gesamtes Frankfurt-Team haben wir eine Holzwand installiert, komplett in Eigenregie. 💪

Was dahintersteckt? Mehr als nur ein gestalterisches Element. Die Wand steht sinnbildlich für das, was uns wichtig ist: gelebte Nachhaltigkeit, Teamgeist und der Anspruch, unsere Arbeitsumgebung bewusst zu gestalten.

Unser Ziel war ein klassisches, zeitloses Office mit natürlichen und nachhaltigen Materialien. Viel Holz, natürliche Grüntöne und ein verbessertes Raumklima durften da nicht fehlen, denn wir sprechen nicht nur über Nachhaltigkeit, sondern wir setzen sie konkret um.

Ein weiterer wichtiger Schritt:
♻️ Refurbished Furniture statt Neukauf.
Für jedes Möbelstück haben wir Zertifikate erhalten, die ausweisen, wie viel CO₂ eingespart wurde, sowohl pro Stück als auch insgesamt. Ein starkes Zeichen dafür, dass nachhaltige Entscheidungen messbar sind.

Und auch strukturell denken wir nachhaltig:
Statt in ein neues Gebäude umzuziehen, entwickeln wir unseren bestehenden Standort kontinuierlich weiter. Das spart Kosten, reduziert CO₂ und macht unser Office zu einem kreativen Raum, der mit uns wächst.

Unser Frankfurter Office ist damit ein echtes Work in Progress und genau das soll es auch bleiben.

As Senior Commissioning Engineer on Baumann’s Commissioning team for the past 5 years, Preetham continually contributes leadership, mentorship, and extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Fire Alarm systems Cx.

🌟 We are pleased to have Arjun return and continue his journey with Baumann Consulting as a full-time Existing Buildings Decarbonization Engineer! Arjun previously worked with Baumann as an Existing Building Decarbonization Trainee / Co-op Engineer from June through December 2025. After recently completing his Master of Science in Energy Systems 🎓️ at Northeastern University in Boston, he rejoined Baumann supporting our Existing Building Decarbonization practice area. Arjun brings his valuable academic experience and prior knowledge of our projects and processes back to the Chicago team.

Tomorrow, at the 2026 ASHRAE Building Decarbonization Conference in Seattle, Baumann Consulting’s Ajit Naik will join industry experts for “Small Buildings, Big Impact: Advancing BEPS Compliance through Retuning and Targeted Workforce Education.”

💡 Neue Impulse für die Gebäudesimulation auf der BauSIM 2026 in Zürich

Unsere Kollegin Atefeh war letzte Woche bei der BauSIM 2026 in Zürich dabei und hatte die Gelegenheit, sich mit Expert:innen aus der Fachwelt der Gebäudesimulation auszutauschen und neue Impulse mitzunehmen.

Neben den zahlreichen Vorträgen und Konferenzsessions war sie auch als Mitglied des Scientific Committee bzw. als Reviewer eingebunden. Der Austausch mit anderen Reviewer:innen bot dabei interessante Einblicke in aktuelle Themen und Entwicklungen in der Gebäudesimulation.

Ein weiterer Programmpunkt war der Workshop rund um IDA ICE. Dabei wurden aktuelle Entwicklungen und neue Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der Software vorgestellt und anhand praxisnaher Beispiele vertieft. Atefeh konnte dabei neue Ansätze kennenlernen und Impulse mitnehmen, wie sich IDA ICE noch effizienter und gezielter für die Gebäudesimulation einsetzen lässt.

Der fachliche Austausch, neue Tools und der Einblick in aktuelle Entwicklungen waren eine wertvolle Ergänzung zu den Konferenzbeiträgen. Genau diese Verbindung aus Forschung, Praxis und fachlichem Austausch macht Veranstaltungen wie die BauSIM für uns besonders wertvoll.

LEED Platin für das Eschborn Gate Building A! 🏆🌿

Baumann Consulting gratuliert dem Projektteam zum Erreichen der LEED Platinum-Zertifizierung für das Eschborn Gate Building A!

Besonders hervorzuheben: Das Projekt wurde zusätzlich mit einem Technischen Monitoring (Monitoring-Based Commissioning) umgesetzt. Es ist eine Maßnahme, die in LEED-Projekten eher selten ist, da sie zwar kostenintensiver ist, aber wertvolle Erkenntnisse über die reale Gebäudeperformance liefert.

Während des ersten Betriebsjahres werden alle relevanten Systeme überwacht, um zu überprüfen, ob das Gebäude im Alltag tatsächlich so funktioniert, wie es in der Planung vorgesehen war.
So kann der Anlagenbetrieb frühzeitig optimiert werden, beispielsweise auch bei Veränderungen im Nutzerverhalten oder der technischen Auslastung. Damit wird die Energieeffizienz langfristig sichergestellt. CO2-Emissionen, Energiekosten und Anlagenverschleiß werden somit gering gehalten, ökologische Aspekte gehen Hand in Hand mit der Wirtschaftlichkeit.

☀️ 🌳 The Baumann team caught the last days and rays of “Summertime Chi” at the Chicago Park District’s Ping Tom Park in Chinatown last week. It was a special evening having Hiten from Baumann’s Washington, DC office join Ajit, Cameron, and Brandon for a couple rounds of urban croquet and charcuterie. A perfect sunset complemented stellar views of the skyline and river from this unique oasis on the South Side. 🌇

Enjoying all our amazing city and its public spaces has to offer as a team reminds us why we love doing what we do!

Nach seiner Zeit in unserem D.C.-Office setzt Max seine Reise bei Baumann nun in Frankfurt fort. Als Leiter Energetische Modernisierung & Dekarbonisierung wird er gemeinsam mit unserem Team nachhaltige Strategien für den Gebäudebestand entwickeln und umsetzen.

Mit seiner internationalen Erfahrung bringt Max wertvolle Perspektiven aus den USA nach Deutschland – und wird künftig dabei unterstützen, die Dekarbonisierung des Gebäudebestands und die Energiewende in Deutschland aktiv voranzutreiben. 🌱🏢
