Please join us in welcoming our two Summer 2026 interns, Samuel Fakolade and Kolade Aderemi! 🎉

We are excited to host these talented Morgan State University engineering students, who are currently pursuing their Ph.D. degrees, as part of the KUMI Internship Program this summer.

Throughout the summer, Samuel and Kolade will gain hands on experience in construction inspection, working alongside our team on active infrastructure projects. They will have the opportunity to observe construction activities, perform field inspections, learn industry standards, and see firsthand how engineering concepts are applied in the real world.

While they spend much of their time conducting research and advancing their academic careers, this summer they'll be stepping out of the classroom and into the field, hard hats on, boots laced up, and ready to experience the day to day work that keeps projects moving forward!

We're proud to support the next generation of engineering professionals and look forward to helping Samuel and Kolade expand their knowledge, develop practical skills, and make the most of their summer with our team.

KUMI had the privilege of touring the Dundalk Marine Terminal alongside Hon. Mike Hammah, Board Chairman of the Ghana Shippers Authority.

During the visit to Baltimore, Hon. Hammah gained firsthand insight into the Port of Baltimore’s operations, including cargo handling, logistics, and terminal management, supporting ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and enhance port operations in Ghana.

The visit offered valuable insights and a meaningful exchange of operational knowledge.

The KUMI Team attended Md. Washington Minority Companies Assocation (MWMCA)’s 23rd Annual Spring 2026 Breakfast, where we had the opportunity to connect with many outstanding professionals across the industry. It was a great morning of networking, meaningful conversations, and strengthening relationships within our community.

It’s always a pleasure running into our good friends at FOXXSTEM, as well as Anthony Management Group. We truly value these connections and the continued collaboration within our industry.

KUMI has successfully completed its second round of Inspector's Training, held over two days at the Abel Wolman Building. Participants actively worked through important questions and scenarios, helping to further clarify procedures and build confidence in day-to-day inspection responsibilities.

We value everything inspectors do, and we remain committed to ensuring you are continuously maintaining your field knowledge and strengthening your understanding of safety practices and requirements.

A big thanks to Prad Maraj, Mike Schultz, and Segun Moses LANA for joining and supporting the sessions, and to Paul Sayan, Tim Wolfe, and many others who stopped by to share their insight and emphasize the importance of ongoing training.

Future leaders in the making!!!

KUMI had an incredible experience at Morgan’s Spring 2026 Job & Internship Fair. Our Marketing Coordinator, Gjayde Bissessar, connected with standout students who are not only passionate about construction management and engineering, but eager to make a real impact in the industry.

The level of preparation, confidence, and drive we saw was impressive. We walked away inspired and excited about the strong talent pipeline ahead.
