📺 Instagram is getting a lot bigger than selfies and Reels.
Meta is reportedly working on longer videos, TV-style shows, and even live television features for Instagram’s TV app.
Think about that for a second…
Instagram started as a photo-sharing app. Now it wants to compete for the same screen time as Netflix, Prime Video, and traditional TV.
The app is already available on Samsung TVs across the U.S., with support for Amazon Fire TV and Google TV. New features include:
✅ Longer videos
✅ Episodic series
✅ Live TV content
✅ Phone-to-TV casting
✅ Interest-based channels
✅ Stories on your TV
The biggest question:
Would you actually watch a 20-minute show on Instagram? 🤔
Most people open Instagram for quick entertainment. But if creators can keep viewers watching longer, it could completely change how we consume content at home.
One thing is clear: the battle for your living room screen is heating up.
💬 Be honest: If Instagram launched exclusive TV shows tomorrow, would you watch them or stick with Netflix?
