This is the hard way to move dirt! The project was a custom home we built on ten acres in Ray township. The site had challenges including wetlands, high water table, and loose soils. The land development included tree clearing, digging a pond, and moving over 1,000 cubic yards of pond spoils to the front of the lot where it was needed for balancing around the house. The original plan was to wait until the ground froze so that we could truck the loads of dirt from the back to the front. Mother nature wasn’t cooperating so eventually we went to “plan B”, which was multiple excavators handing off the material assembly line style one bucket at a time. Shout out to D. Teller Excavating! Dan hung in there and got it done. Never a complaint and a terrific job!
