Vibration analysis is a complex and serious craft. That being said, our customers "just want to know what time it is, not how the watch works"

These examples are of an industrial gearbox after being rebuilt. The top report is post rebuild where the "Red" values show that additional rework is required (in this case gear backlash).

You can see the "Green" in the bottom report after the backlash was set correctly.

This gearbox is now back to work at the mine and part of the infrastructure powering our country

When you visit the Sommer Energy Technologies website you'll be greeted with my quote - "We enhance the the performance and reliability of industrial machinery".
Before it was industrial machinery we (me in the '80s and Jesse in the 2010s) started enhancing the performance and reliability of bicycles then motorcycles then cars.
Motorsport is the ultimate proving ground for machine and human performance. Besides the enjoyment of building and competing, it's a demonstration of our engineering and technical aptitude.

I am pleased to announce that Sommer Energy Technologies, in collaboration with EQT Corporation, will be a technical presenter at this year's Appalachian Basin GPA Midstream Association Regional Conference on April 29.

Our presentation will focus on the topic: “Compressor Mechanical Integrity: Impact on Emissions.” EQT and SET will share field-based experience demonstrating how engine and compressor mechanical issues cascade into measurable emissions increases.

The ARC is a strong forum for exchanging both technical and commercial perspectives relevant to the Appalachian midstream industry, and connecting with industry peers responsible for asset performance and operational decision making responsibilities.

Another Sommer Energy Technologies MobiNEST , built by Jesse Sommer, powered by BossPac Technologies is heading out for a really cool application - engine dyno runs.
In addition to tri-axial acceleration and velocity + temperature, this system is set up to provide displacement data. The 10 WASPs will simultaneously transmit data to the MobiNEST for logging and analysis. This was done previously by an operator having to move a single wired sensor to each of the 10 points during dyno runs.
