🎓Congratulations to the two youngest members of the MacBracey team, Emma Beattie and Keira Roddy on their high school graduations! 🎓 Emma graduated from McGuffey High School and Keira graduated from Trinity High School. We'll enjoy having them in the office for a couple more months before they move on to their next chapter in college this fall.

MacBracey Corporation holds regular safety meetings because protecting everyone's well-being is the foundation of what we do. Last month's telehandler safety training was critical because these machines combine the characteristics of a crane and a forklift, presenting unique risks that standard equipment training doesn't cover. This is just one of the hands-on training programs our employees complete under the direction of our dedicated safety team from One Stop Safety Consulting.

❓What is your job title?
☘ Assistant Project Manager

❓How long have you worked for MacBracey?
☘ Almost a year.

❓What made you interested in working for our Company?
☘ After having commuted to work for several years since college, I was eager to join a family business in my community. MacBracey piqued my interest as a well-established women-owned business that takes on a variety of construction projects. Transitioning from design to construction seemed like the perfect change for me.

❓What’s your favorite part of being an Assistant Project Manager?
☘ I get to work on a range of projects which keeps things interesting. In addition to running smaller jobs, I assist the team; I participate in estimating and bid meetings, support major construction projects with initial site visits, coordinating subcontractors, scheduling our crews, and implementing final paperwork. I enjoy the pace and spending my time both in and out of the office.

❓What advice would you give anyone looking to get into the construction field?
☘ It’s exciting – go for it! There’s a great sense of pride and satisfaction that comes along with being part of something real, as we are all impacted by the built environment. And who doesn’t like a good before and after?!

❓What do you hope for the future of the company?
☘ I realize we have grown significantly in our 25 years, and I am excited to be part of that continued growth and success.

❓Tell us a little about your personal self.
☘ I was born and raised in Washington, graduated from Trinity, then went to WVU to study interior design. I have worked for design firms in Pittsburgh and Nashville, where I lived for a few years after I got married. Growing up, I thought I would become a hair stylist or a teacher.

❓What are your interests/hobbies outside of MacBracey Corporation?
☘ Love a good crime documentary. I like to read fiction and non-fiction, depending on my mood or what new skill I am trying to learn. I am fascinated by old houses and buildings and appreciate historic preservation efforts. I’m into vintage clothing and furniture, so thrifting is my jam.

Today was one of our favorite days of the year — Take Your Child to Work Day!

As a family company, there’s nothing more meaningful than sharing what we’ve built with the next generation. From job sites to the office, we loved giving our kids a behind-the-scenes look at the hard work, teamwork, and pride that goes into everything we do.

They tried their hands at a few tasks and reminded us why we do what we do every day. Who knows… we may have a few future team members in the making!

MacBracey Corporation held our 2nd annual Chili Cook-Off on National Chili Day- February 26, 2026. Congratulations to Allison Whitworth on a Champion 1st Place Win, a close 2nd place win was awarded to Hannah Swart and our own reigning champion, Patrick Bracey came in at 3rd place. It was a tasty win for all! Thank you to all contestants and tasters, we can't wait until next year!
