Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for bringing to resolution any quality issues resulting from tool design, fabrication, or assembly. Candidate will be responsible for product buyoff and makes the final decision on acceptability before product shipment to end customer. (NOTE: Active DOD Clearance is required.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to moderately complex.
• Attends and leads program corrective action meetings, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution, and ensures responsible parties meet their commitments.
• Participates in failure reviews to include containment and disposition of non-conforming product and initiate appropriate root cause and corrective action to prevent recurrence.
• Identifies and anticipates technical problems and offers solutions
• Ability to perform data analytics, interpret data and events and use the information systematically to identify appropriate course of action for resolution.
• Interfaces with customers, and program personnel on quality related issues.
• Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
• Makes the decision on acceptability of product prior to customer acceptance
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, mechanical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• ASQ - CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)
• Knowledge of quality system models
such as ISO9001, AS9100
Work Experience Requirements:
• Lean Manufacturing technique knowledge.
• In-depth understanding and ex*****on of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action

Work Hours:
• Standard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions.
Travel Requirements:
• This position can involve frequent travel to 15% of the time.

• Ability to perform root cause corrective action – RCCA using 5 Y’s, Ishikawa Diagrams or Cause and Effect analysis

Physical Demands:
• Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
• Visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and operation of machines.
