Why doesn’t the gravel push the jig shot out? ⚙️

It comes down to density.

Riverdance Jig shot is made of steel, making it much denser than the gravel being processed. The steel shot stays in the tray, forming a bed that helps protect the gold as material moves through the jig.

Gold is even denser than steel, allowing it to work its way down through the shot bed while the gravel continues moving through the process.

It’s a small component doing an important job in gold recovery.

Two passes. Two different jobs. Gold recovery starts with the right setup. ⚙️

First, run your material through a coarser screen to capture the gold and build your concentrates.

Then, swap to a finer screen and run those concentrates again. This second pass helps separate the gold from that pesky heavy black sand.

Jig Shot: Small Part. Big Difference. ⚙️

Inside a mineral jig, the shot bed plays an important role in separating gold from lighter material.

As water pulses through the jig, the bed of small, heavy pellets opens and settles. Gold and other heavier particles work their way down through the gaps, while lighter material stays higher and washes away.

The shot’s size and weight are matched to the material being processed and the gold you're looking to recover.

It’s a small component with a big job.

Gravel out. Gold stays in.

As additional scoops of material enter the Riverdance Jig, lighter gravel continues to work its way out while the heavier gold remains in the recovery area.

That’s the principle behind its high gold-retention rate. Sid explains that recovery is reliably around 95% or better, often reaching approximately 99%—including very fine, microscopic gold.

Less gold left behind. More gold recovered.

It started with a problem other equipment wasn't solving.

Our first investor was a gold miner frustrated with how much gold was still being left behind in his black sand concentrates. Even after running material through his Gold Cube two, three, or four times, he was still finding gold.

So he brought Sid a 55-gallon drum cut in half, filled with black sand, and made him a challenge:

“If you can make this work, I’ll buy a machine.”

Sid built and tested the two-stage Riverdance Jig. On the first run, it recovered nearly all the gold, with only a tiny fraction left behind.

That miner didn't just buy a machine. He invested in the company.

Sometimes the best innovations start with a problem that needs solving.
