An established fast-growing Company based in Wasilla is looking for experienced Diesel Mechanic with knowledge of repairing and maintaining Heavy Equipment / Light Duty Vehicles and Road Maintenance equipment. This position is available immediately. This is a full-time year-round work opportunity with overtime when needed, will be working on a fleet of approximately 60 light duty, commercial, and heavy duty units.
Required Experience:
Must have at least four years of recent experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic;
• Observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards;
• Complete maintenance reports, work orders, and any other required paperwork;
• Liaise with suppliers to order any required parts and maintain inventory;
• Read and interpret owner, operator, and manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications to complete job tasks;
• Test diagnose, and repair equipment including: diesel/propane powered lift trucks, and other heavy construction equipment;
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine repairs;
• Other related duties as required;
• Complete maintenance reports and required documentation;
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems;
• Test equipment to ensure proper performance;
• Complete all duties in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
• CDL License - Class A or B desired;
• Experience with maintenance welding is an asset;
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various job tasks;
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner;
• Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks;
• Efficient time management skills;
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Decision making, analytical and problem solving skills;
• Certification preferred;
• Excellent hand-eye coordination;
• Heavy lifting

Must have own mechanic tool set.
Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
