π π·ββοΈ Youth Apprenticeship Week (YAW) is designed to increase awareness of Registered Apprenticeships among youth, educators, parents, state agencies, workforce partners, and industry and to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships as a pathway to successful careers
π οΈπ YAW isn't just a celebration; it's a movement towards a brighter future. By showcasing how Registered Apprenticeships create a sustainable pipeline of skilled and diverse talent, we're paving the way for the jobs of today and tomorrow in critical industries.
ποΈπ‘ Here at Alaska Works Partnership, we're proud to be part of this transformative journey. With our free introductory training programs, we're helping individuals aged 16 and up gain employment in the construction industry through apprenticeships. And guess what? More than half of our applicants are 24 and under! ποΈπ‘
π Alaskaβs Governor Mike Dunleavy, has proclaimed May 5 β 11, 2024 as βAlaska Youth Apprenticeship Weekβ encouraging all Alaskans to seek information regarding the benefits of youth apprenticeship and the positive impact these programs have on our infrastructure and economy.
