Palladin, founded by Anthony Palladino in 1963, manufactures precision parts to exacting tolerances in a wide range of materials, and serves a diverse set of industries. The Palladin mission is to provide its customers with manufacturing excellence. This excellence is accomplished by maintaining a heightened level of customer service that most companies are unwilling or unable to provide. The Palladin web site provides an in-depth look at the capabilities, achievements and expertise that make Palladin a world class manufacturer of turned products. Palladin is dedicated to offering superior service and products. Our excellence in manufacturing is the result of decades of experience and success as showcased throughout our web site. If your organization is investigating a new supplier to manufacture turned "swiss" products, review our site. Palladin has the experience and capability to fulfill your needs with outstanding quality and customer service. This is our promise to our customers. Swiss manufacturing is the heart of Palladin. Computer Numeric Controlled manufacturing provides for the tightest tolerances in swiss manufacturing. CNC swiss operations differ from cam and Escomatic swiss methods in that complex parts can receive multiple operations simultaneously rather than sequentially. Palladin has the CNC equipment and staff expertise to hold tolerances as tight as .0001 inches. Additions of Hanwha 20 mm and 12 mm CNC turning lathes allows Palladin to manufacture to extreme tolerances in shorter cycle times. This equates to faster turn around time in manufacturing, and faster delivery of parts to the customer. The Palladin reputation for excellence is rooted in swiss manufacturing processes. Well before CNC manufacturing existed, Palladin had extensive expertise in cam swiss operations. Cam swiss operations produce very precisely machined turned products. In this process, the raw material in the form of rod stock is fed into the machine via guiding equipment that turns the stock. The cutting tools operate in a radial fashion upon the raw material which moves longitudinally. Due to the extremely tight tolerance capabilities of the Palladin facilities, the cam swiss department is able to meet nearly any cam swiss requirement. Escomatic swiss machining differs from cam swiss machining. Escomatic machines rotate the cutting tools around the raw stock material, as opposed to cam swiss machining where the material is rotated. Custom built slotting and bending attachments for D2 Escomatic machines, engineered in house by Palladin, shorten production cycles resulting in significant cost savings for the customer. These Palladin designed Escomatic enhancements eliminate the need for many secondary operations. complete. Secondary Operations at Palladin comprise a wide range of processes after swiss manufacturing is complete. All secondary operations are performed in house at Palladin, from complex operations such as eccentric turning to basic operations like deburring. Depending upon the manufacturing criteria, Palladin uses CNC or traditional machinery to perform secondary operations. At Palladin, quality assurance and control is monitored throughout the manufacturing process. Although the QA processes flow seamlessly together, the Palladin quality assurance process is comprised of the following elements: Quality Planning, Quality Control, & Quality Improvement. Quality Planning
Quality Planning begins with quoting, where we evaluate the customer’s needs in relation to a particular product. When an order is received we review the drawings and other data related to the manufacturing of the part. This review aides in identifying any issues that might affect the ability to deliver a defect free, delivered product. Palladin emphasizes Quality Planning as the company strives to eliminate potential problems in the manufacturing process before they would occur. Quality Control
Quality Control includes various inspections along the path from raw material to finished product. Inspection is viewed as an adjunct to good processes rather than the sole control. Machine operators are trained and equipped to monitor their own processes to minimize defects. Please review our QA Facilities in order to better understand our QC capabilities. Quality Improvement
When opportunities arise to improve the manufacturing process, Palladin has a Quality Improvement process to evaluate the situation and then determine the best method to improve the manufacturing process. PALLADIN PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT
