Wednesdays are for training! Electrical diagnostics are among the most common tasks we run into. For some it comes easy, and for some not so easy.

Baby steps baby. You have to understand the simple things before moving on to the more complicated convoluted things.

1. Sequence of operations.
2. Component identification.
3. Component diagnostics.

We either pay in maintenance costs and we get to pick the time, or we pay in repair costs and we do not get to pick the time. Seems like there is a Sun Tszu quote in there somewhere.

Training today. You HAVE to have training as one of your top priorities. Or you ARE DOOMED.

TECH SCHOOLS can’t share with you want we’re learning here. You have to get it from someone who’s actually been there and done that.

Training opportunities for others are coming. We are distilling our process and will be offering training for other contractors and individuals.

If you’re a company owner you have two paths. Either go with the prevailing wind and simplify the job so you can employ technicians with a much lower skill level (selling equipment replacements as a primary option), or hire/train true competent technicians. Which can be a real challenge. In house training has its own obstacles as well. And locating truly competent players that are also a good fit for your company is like playing financial roulette.

Basic refrigeration theory today in the classroom. Always learning, growing. At CKS one of our foundational principles is that knowledge is helpful. But knowledge shared is the catalyst for all growth and success.

Always teach, learning, and improving. We learn by teaching. We learned by picking up the material, reading it, seeing it, talking about it learning to articulate it. We learned by doing it, and we learned by teaching others to do it. In each step we refine our process.
